I am so sorry it has been four months since I posted anything on the blog. Things have been busy for us. I will try to catch you up on all that has happened.
October 2013 - Mike was out jogging and felt a pain in his side. After several doctors visits we find out he has a hernia and will need surgery. His surgery took place on December 4 in Japan. Everything went well and he is doing great.
December 24, 2013 - We arrived in the US for our year of furlough. We spent the next few weeks visiting with family and getting back on US time. The jet lag was so bad for Mike and I. The kids were fine after a day or two. Mike and I spent about 2 weeks of waking up at 2:00am for dinner. {2:00 am here is 6:00 pm Japan} We would eat a snack and try to go back to sleep. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't!
January and February 2014 - Happy New Year! We started our year out running. We have had almost every Sunday booked with churches. We have traveled from Florida to California so far. The Lord has really blessed our travels too! We have been blessed to travel in good weather. We have seen a little snow but nothing like y'all have it up North. We have had to very little repairs on the van. Two tires and a new alternator. Not bad for a van that sat unused for two years! God is Good all the time!
