While at a park this spring we saw this tree. I took a picture because I was amazed at how tall the tree was with most of the roots exposed. The kids and I talked about the tree for a while. "How can the tree be standing?" "Why is the tree still growing?" After we left I kept thinking about this tree and the old song comes to mind.
::Just like a tree planted by the waters, I shall not be moved. I shall not be, I shall not be moved. I shall not be, I shall not be moved. Just like a tree planted by the waters, I shall not be moved.::
I want to be like this tree. I want to still be standing after the storms have washed away my ground. I want to be standing with my hands held high, doing what God created me to do. I want to be standing when everyone and everything else has failed. I shall not be moved!!
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalms 1:3
